Diamond V’s new, immune health technology for dogs and cats

Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA (May 9, 2019) — Global animal health business Diamond V introduced TruMune to the international pet food industry at the recent Petfood Forum 2019 in Kansas City, Missouri. TruMune is Diamond V’s most advanced immune health product specifically for use in dog and cat diets.

“TruMune offers benefits for all types of pet foods, including complete foods and treats,” said Ilya Frumkin, director of companion animal business for Diamond V. “TruMune’s new dual-action helps support both immune function and digestive health for optimal pet performance, health, and vitality.”

Scientific research with TruMune demonstrates multiple benefits. Diamond V reports that the product supports the potential of the immune system for:

  • Greater mobility
  • Higher activity levels
  • Overall performance, health, vitality
Dr. Tammi Epp

“We tested TruMune over the course of two years in controlled scientific studies conducted at universities and an independent canine research center,” said Dr. Tammi Epp, Director of Monogastric Health Research and Technical Support with Diamond V.

The canine research center studies showed that TruMune significantly improves stride length, activity per kilometer, and average moving speed per kilometer compared to dogs fed the same diet but without TruMune.

Epp noted that Diamond V products work naturally with the biology of the animal to maintain immune strength, support digestive tissue integrity, and promote a healthy microbial balance.

Also available at Petfood Forum to respond to questions from pet food manufacturers, diet formulators, and other industry professionals were Christine Warzecha and Michael Eggleston, who are companion animal technical specialists with Diamond V.
